Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you use HeartfeltScript, we collect the answers you provide to our speech questions (names, memories, descriptions) and your email address if you complete a payment. We do not require an account to use the service.

How we use it

Your answers are used solely to generate your speech drafts. We do not sell your data or use it to train any models. It is never shared with third parties beyond what is required to run the service, as described below.

Third-party processors

The following services receive parts of your data only as needed to deliver the service:

• Anthropic — receives your speech inputs to generate drafts. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models.
• Supabase — stores your speech inputs and drafts in our private database.
• Stripe — processes your payment. HeartfeltScript never sees or stores your card details.
• Resend — receives your email address and speech drafts to deliver your PDF after payment.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies:

• Session cookie — an anonymous identifier (hfs_session) that links you to your speeches without requiring an account. Essential to the service.
• Vercel Analytics — privacy-friendly, cookieless page statistics. No personal data or cross-site tracking.
• Google Analytics & Google Ads — with your consent, we use Google cookies to understand how visitors find us and whether our advertising works. These are only set if you choose “Accept” on our cookie banner. If you decline, no Google cookies are set.

Measurement data never includes the content of your speeches or the answers you provide about your loved ones. Your consent choice is remembered in your browser; to change it, clear this site's data in your browser settings and the banner will appear again. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Data retention

Your speech inputs and drafts are retained so you can re-download your PDF if needed. We do not retain this data for any other purpose.

Your right to deletion

You can request permanent deletion of your speech, inputs, and all associated data at any time. Email us at hello@heartfeltscript.com and we will remove your data within 7 days. This applies to eulogy users especially — we understand the sensitivity of what you shared.
